Winterweight Softshell Layer Multicam® Jacket
The Winterweight Softshell Jacket combines the second-skin protection of a softshell fabric with the functionality of a true tactical piece. The body is made of a 4 way stretch woven fabric bonded to hydrophobic polyester fleece, which maintains the high stretch and memory characteristics of a softshell while adding the warmth and comfort of fleece. A high collar protects the neck from the elements, and a full zip frontal entry allows ultimate ease of wearing. Four inset sleeve pockets are made with four-way stretch nylon/spandex twill, which allow the pockets to stretch as the wearer moves. Zippered hand pockets are made with mesh pocket bags to give stored objects the chance to breathe and air out. These pockets are finished on the interior so the wearer can stuff whatever extra gear they’ve got into a safe place. The stowable hood, made of nylon ripstop, is made as minimally and articulated as possible so it fits the head snugly and allows a helmet to be placed over it. Pit zips are necessary for the soldier’s comfort and ventilation, and at 20”, they can vent however much they want, where they want. The dropped tail saves face when crouching low and getting the job done.
